The Ultimate Rice Krispie Treat Bar Recipe:Cracked Out Rice Crispy Bars

Ingredients:

1 bag White Chocolate Chips

¾ C Peanut Butter, no sugar added (Jif preferably)

3 ½  C Rice Krispies, shake the measuring glass, to pack them in

½  bag Mini Chocolate Chips

2 C Mini Marshmallows

1 bag Heath Bit o’ Brickle (without the chocolate)

1/2 tsp Kosher Salt, to taste

Procedure:

  1. Create a double boiler by placing 2-3 cups of water in a large pot and bring to a gentle boil. Place a bowl over the top of the pot, making sure the bottom of the bowl is not touching the water and is only being heated by steam.
  2. Add White Chocolate and Peanut Butter to the bowl and stir often, until fully melted.
  3. Remove from heat and place aside to cool slightly.
  4. While cooling combine the Krispies, Marshmallows, Heath and Salt together and mix well.
  5. Add the melted White Chocolate Peanut Butter to the krispies and mix well, making sure everything is coated with the white chocolate mix. Set aside for 10 minutes to cool to almost room temp – you don’t want to melt the chocolate in the next step.
  6. Add Mini Chocolate Chips and mix thoroughly by hand to combine.
  7. Grease a 9x13 or 8x8 pan (depending on your desired thickness) And add krispie mixture. Using a piece of parchment or plastic wrap over the top of the krispie mix press down firm to compact it and to set the bar. Let it set for at least an hour in the refrigerator before cutting.
